Who are we?

At European Foods, we supply independent supermarkets across Western Australia with a carefully selected range of premium food and cheese. Our business is built on strong relationships, dependable service, and a clear understanding of what independent retailers need to compete and grow. We believe great products, reliable supply, and responsive support make a real difference at store level. European Foods is proud to partner with independent supermarkets to help create stronger ranges, better shopping experiences, and long-term success. We take great pride in our large and growing Western Australian range of products, including cheeses, crackers, chocolates, nuts and many other essential and luxury items.

European Foods has deep roots in Perth’s food history, tracing back to the Re family and the establishment of The Re Store in Northbridge in 1936. As post-war migration reshaped Western Australia’s food culture, the business grew alongside demand for imported European groceries, becoming a familiar name for quality continental products in Perth.

Around 1959, the wholesale arm was established as European Foods, supplying Perth’s growing hospitality and retail market with cheeses, pasta, olive oil, chocolates and other imported goods from across Europe. Over time, the business became known for helping introduce and expand the availability of many European food lines in Western Australia, building a reputation for quality, range and strong customer relationships.

European Foods remained closely tied to family heritage for decades. Today, its history reflects a blend of family enterprise, migrant food culture and the evolution of Perth’s appetite for premium European products.
